In today’s climate of heightened expectations, the Principal is in the hot seat to improve teaching and learning. He or she needs to be a visionary, instructional and curriculum leader, assessment expert, disciplinarian, community builder, public relations expert, budget analyst, facility manager and administrator. He is expected to broker the conflicting interests of parents, teachers and students.
