This morning I received a group of 4-year-old kids with the sandwiches they made under the supervision of the teachers. Delighted to see them early morning in my office, I could not believe if it was all real. I asked them if they want me to eat it all., the response was a loud yes. I asked them next, how do they think I can eat all the sandwiches they have got for me. Complete silence prevailed. With a little nudge, they opened up. What followed was a no of wonderful options given to me by the young thinking kids. 1. Sir, you can take a bite from each one of us(intelligent). 2, Sir you can eat one by one ( logical).3. Sir, first you finish one and then go onto the next( hilarious). 4. Sir, you eat one you like the most(conciliatory).Great !!! Four-year-old children could think this way, amazing! I wondered really, are we allowing our children time to think? Are we encouraging them to articulate their thoughts? Do we have the patience and time to help them think?
